Today was a busyyy bee day! Woke up @ 10.30 am, my phone is not working, I'm waiting to get my early upgrade to the Blackberry Torch this Saturday, CAN'T WAITT!!! ..... I RAN & took the 4 (green) train to work at 356 Bowery. Today I worked for Pixie Market , they have a store in NY @ :

 Miista Heels
Miista Sandels
Deadly Ponies Bag

Stylestalker Blouse

Finished around 3.30pm, bolted out the door to get to my fitting up on 625 Madison Ave/5th Ave. For the Bergdorf & Goodman/ Crohns & Colitis Charity Show, that's tomorrow. There were many gorgeous gowns by Oscar De La Renta, J. Mendel and a few other designers. The client asked me to return that evening to fit into some new dresses that were yet to arrive.

I departed shortly afterwards to a last minute casting that my agency had send to me this afternoon - 95 Wall Street, right next to my home. Perfect so I could drop off my heavy portfolio and pick up my YSL Black Sandle Heels as the clients at the fitting previously had asked me to. Saw a model Erin Fee @ the casting she just got to NY from London a few weeks ago, I welcomed her arrival.

Rushing up to soho to meet my childhood friend Michael Arroyo at our favorite cafe, Aroma @ Houston & Greene St. I had the Iced Aroma which tastes a little bit like a Frappucino and he had already snacked when I had arrived, he accompanied me to my fitting up on Madison Avenue. Quickly tried on a black a bit 'cabaret" styled dress, walked up and down the hallway- "runway style" & finished. Mike suggested we go to visit his work at Fox News on 1211 6th Ave/48th St. so he could give me a tour. I was ecstatic and immediately agreed.

It was the coolest thing, as we entered the building, I passed by the front desk to pick up my Visitor's card and up the elevator we went. We stopped into "Studio G" & saw the anchorman Shepard Smith. It was so cool!!!! He spoke about the 94 Tornados that were currently happening in Alabama, INSANEEE I know, they had LIVE footage someone sent in from their cellphone.

We later went down to the basement where Mike worked. He showed me the communication room where they receive new data and info from the public and write the script. Pretty interesting stuff...I was lucky enough to see it! Thanks Mike!!!!

Off to bed tomorrow is going to be a long day!

Goodnight *M

Sunny Spring Day @ NY

Tuesday, April 26, 2011:
I woke up to Ponyo's smell of numerous diarrhea and vomit smell in the house, I know... GROSSS!!! But poor little Ponyo, I urgently took him to the Vet check him out, he got serum inserted behind his neck to keep him hydrated as when I fed him food he refused to eat and was worried he has something in his stomach, this liquid made his back look a little like a hunchback chihuahua... anyways, my little tough noogie pulled through the whole medicated part and got a big treat when we got home.
I took Ponyo home after the Vet visit and continued to the rest of my castings with Clara, who accompanied me, and I accompanied her to hers. :) Her last casting was right next Milk Studios, and we found a HUGEEE poster of her in the Armani Exchange Campaign Spring/Summer 2011, which she currently came out in ... and took some photos. I also had the courtesy of taking a photo of my first "spring" outfit. H&M Pants, All Saints Boots, Forever 21 black tank and the cropped shirt is from Bali (i dont know the designer), Versace sunglasses, Michael Kors watch, necklaces from Urban Outfitters, Bag from LV... =)

Goodnight *M

Strolling @ Battery Park

Easter Weekend- April 22-24, 2011

Enjoyed a wonderful stroll around our neighborhood with Ponyo. I dressed him up in camo hoodie with a silver parka. We took a stroll down to Battery Park, walked up along the water then crossed the West Side Highway to where the World Trade Center Memorial Plaque Wall was,  passed by the fire station and a church/cemetary. The flowers are blooming, finally spring is here. As the brisk breeze whistled us into the dark of the night, there finally was peace in the air.

Sweet Dreams

Jammin' @ Williamsburg

Saturday, April 23, 2011:
Went to chill in Willamsburg, Brooklyn with Barbara Garcia (guitar/voice), Nastasia Elzinga ( Harmonica/Marrakas/Back-up singer), & me (voice), and my bf Steffan Elzinga wearing the black wig (as camera-man/director) . Had a blast, enjoyed chillaxingg and singing, playing video games and much much more. Barbara originally is recording her own music in her spare time, and sometimes we just go over to her place and sing for fun.... Barbara & I, lived together in Paris, 4 years ago, & we made the song "Me Gusta Chongear". Meaning "I like to fool around". We were all worked up from the emotions, after we had dumped our current boyfriends...  that we made a song... At the time it was Nov 26, 2008. We became quite the Facebook hit. Now we've rejoined with more members and made different fun versions :)

Hope you enjoy !!! *M

Ponyo's Playdate @ Battery Dog Park in NYC

Thursday, April 21, 2011:
Ponyo's first playdate with our neighbor's dog Bamboo. (in the first photo). Ponyo climbs up to the closet (his favorite hiding place- and then whines because he can't get down)....

Ponyo is my 4month year old chihuahua, born Dec 23, 2011 (funny enough on the day of my bf and my anniversary) .... we bought him at a pet shop in Brooklyn. It was Love at First Sight. Such a beautiful white puppy, so shy =, he fell asleep in my arms the moment I held him, and that was it. We took him home, nurtured him for the next week, non-stop.

Ponyo just got his last rabies shot, so now he's able to play with other dogs... Even though he is scared of them.... Literally he wants to be picked up immediately, or he simply bolts the other way once he sees one. hahah Poor Little Ponyo.... I bumped into our neighbor Valerie, whos the owner of Bamboo, they live 3 doors down, on the same floor as our building, and we immediatley exchanged numbers to make future Playdate Plans.

Today we met up at 1pm, in our buildings hallway. Bamboo got close to Ponyo and sniffed him. Ponyo was scared shitless, but it was definitely a good intro get together... we took a stroll to the park next to our place. There were a few small poodles that were very friendly. I made sure to keep Ponyo on his leash because last time he got so scared he escaped out of the dog fence and almost ran into the highway..... I hope Ponyo will slowly overcome his fear of other dogs...

Kid Cudi Concert @ Roseland Ballroom in NYC

Wednesday, April 20, 2011 :
My first concert ever, KID CUDI.... I've loved this music artist since I lived in Paris 2 years ago. He WON me over with his infamous song "Day N' Night" .... MY FAVORITE song of all times!!! Always jam when it's played in the club.... So my boyfriend found out that he was playing in concert in NYC, so we went to see him on the first night he played in NY-4/20, his second stop of the Tour. I bought a tee-shirt to get Opening song was  Up, Up and Away" and the closing song was "Pursuit of Happiness". I nearly cried when I heard the song after his speech, on how he wrote it when he was in High School, you can't be a superhero. Trying to make everyone happy is so hard, when really you have to find your own happiness.. such a great message. I LOVE YOU KID CUDI!!!! I Hope I get to meet him someday!! =)

Carolina's friend just got back in town and the played a beautiful concert. Only the friends of the band members were invited. I met up with the people that I worked with for Mexx Campaign in Morroco. There was Carl Gagnon and Carolina Pilon and Lyes Allouche. It was sucha nice reunion, we caught up had a few drinks and danced the night away :)
